We will be open tomorrow and Saturday. Sunday may be a little too rainy. We'll remain open on weekends, and By-Appointment when possible, for at least another month. Email, call, or text for the latest info, or to schedule your paddle. We're happy to help.

Labor Day has come and gone, but there is plenty of good paddling left to be had this season. The foliage is popping more each day, the crowds are gone, but the weather is still warm. Perfect.

Litchfield Paddle Update 8/24

We're working overtime to ensure that these last two weeks of everyday operations go smoothly for our Guests. After a rainy Sunday that limited our hours, we're expecting 14 days of fun paddling, culminating with a festive Labor Day Weekend. We've hired and scheduled additional staff, and even acquired some new gear for this final stretch of the Summer.

Litchfield Paddle is elevating the paddling experience. Come grab an ice-cold bottle of water, or play a game of cornhole.

And make no mistake: we'll be paddling well into October. After Labor Day, we'll be open at our locations as usual on the weekends, and for advance bookings at other times. September might just be our favorite time of the year to paddle, as the crowds are gone, the heat has diminished, and the leaves begin to turn.

Our Mount Tom and Lake Waramaug locations will be open 7 days a week through Labor Day! These last 6 weeks of Summer are ideal for paddling fun with friends, Corporate Team Building, and family bonding. We are also Hiring.

School is starting up again in a couple of weeks. The mornings here in NWCT are beginning to be cooler. The leaves will begin to turn soon, and one of our favorite paddling times of the year is on the horizon. Late Summer and early Autumn on our local waters are just lovely.

At both of our State Park locations you'll find a canopy and chairs, racks of boards and boats, personable and attentive Staff, a cooler with ice-cold bottles of water, PFDs in all sizes, drybags, cornhole, hackysack, frisbee, and other amenities. A gentle paddle in protected waters is a stellar way to bond with friends, family, or colleagues. We recently had the pleasure of hosting X10 Lacrosse Camps at our Lake Waramaug location. A great time for all, and we even got to enjoy the Ice Cream truck!

Somehow, it's almost August. Summer goes by quickly if we're not careful. We've been paddling since early Spring, and we'll keep going for at least another 3 months. Mother Nature, as always, will have the final say.

We're looking forward to hosting X10 Lacrosse Camps next week for two days at our Lake Waramaug location!

Last Thursday we had the honor of hosting the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of DEEP, the CT Office of Outdoor Industry and Experiences, and other public officials, at our Mount Tom State Park location, for a ribbon-cutting and Press Conference. We were grateful for the opportunity to thank these folks, as well as the boots-on-the-ground DEEP Staff at our beautiful State Park locations, for the work they do. Without it, none of this would be possible.

Tomorrow, Thursday 6/25, we'll be honored to host the CT Office of Outdoor Industry and Experiences, and other public officials, at our Mount Tom State Park location, for a ribbon-cutting and Press Conference. We'll be celebrating the State's continued successful efforts via the Partnerships in Parks Initiative, to bring greater access to the wealth of outdoor experiences that the great State of Connecticut has to offer.

This past Saturday, we had a great time participating in the No Child Left Inside Boating Day Event at Lake Waramaug State Park! We enjoyed working with our DEEP and other colleagues, and it was great to see so many new paddlers on the water!
